Meet Holly
I’m Holly, an experienced classroom teacher and yoga practitioner who has brought these passions together to promote balanced and holistic wellbeing for all.
Yoga became a part of my life while at university and since then my practice has grown and evolved, while helping me in so many ways. It has been my grounding constant, despite the changing external landscape, whether at home, travelling or living overseas. Yoga has not only helped me gain greater self-awareness, improve emotional-regulation skills, and develop greater resilience, it has also helped me develop coping strategies to deal with stress and anxiety through the inevitable ups and downs of life.
While working as a classroom teacher, yoga has enabled me to better support my students as they navigate the world around them. Through my experience at schools both locally and internationally, I have worked to champion student resilience, helping young people develop tools for emotional regulation and gratitude, self-compassion, empathy, and greater productivity. In our ever-changing world, I believe that these skills can help students to lead a flourishing and balanced life.

Having experienced the benefits of yoga on my mind, body, and emotions I became curious to learn more. While living in Beijing, I completed my first Yoga Teacher Training which opened a whole new world for me! I fell in love with the layers of yoga that until that point I hadn’t even begun to understand. I then went on to complete a Yoga for Teens training course, to learn about how yoga can be brought into the classroom and school environment, while working with teenagers at their varying developmental stages of adolescence. Returning to Perth, to feel connected to a community of like-minded people and to further develop my learning, I completed a year-long 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training, where once again I found my passion for the complex and deep world of yoga growing. Alongside my training, I also completed a Master of Arts in Education during which I conducted research and wrote my Dissertation on the effective implementation of a whole school approach to supporting student wellbeing.
As someone who is committed to life-long learning and sharing my learning with others, I felt a desire to bring my experience, trainings, and research together to offer the benefits of yoga and mindfulness to people of all ages, by promoting wellbeing, understanding of self and others and connection with the world around us.
